color photo final set #1

"Come senators, Congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorways
Don't block up the hall."
bob dylan, "the times they are a-changin'"

"Peace is something that has to be made. It doesn't come from passivity."
pete townshend, the who
rolling stone interview

"To being an us for once--instead of a them."
"la vie boheme," song from the film "rent"

These are the first three images from my yet-untitled final project. What I plan to do is take quotes from cultural icons--such as movies, books, music artists--and pair them with images representing metaphorically or literally what they say. I want to create a narrative that begins with the state of the world and/or American society and the problems there, continues through how we feel about those issues, and ends with what we can do about it.

Great Images. I feel the quote relates really well to the first image. I think it would be nice to see the second image relate more to its quote with more of an active peacemaking theme.

I like the images, and the quotes help it out. I like the pace one, because you can tell faintly that there is a peace symbol in it. I also like the last one with the candles and one. It has a nice shadow and a soft feeling to it.
